Showing young independent readers the joys of getting outside and creating their own adventures in nature.
It's time to get dirty, scrape your knees, and find the magical creatures living in your own back yard!

Gardens are magical places. Plants grow, worms play, leaves compost themselves and garden sprites live secret lives. I grew up tilling, planting, and harvesting in our family garden so it's no wonder that I've set my middle-grade chapter books in this magical world.

Harvest Hollow is an idyllic place for young sprites to grow up. Follow Pumpkin Lou on his adventures as he learns more about friends, family, and the world outside of his safe village.
"We live among trees, rocks, flowers, and grasses,
Protecting the earth as each season passes.
Our tails strong as iron; our ears shaped like leaves.
We jump, run, and climb with grace and speed.
We stay hidden from humans no matter how hard you look.
You dream of our world for your stories and books.
We love to be sneaky and play pranks on you.
So protect the world you’ve been given… or who knows what we’ll do!"
