About Rachel

Rachel is a middle-grade author who has never stopped believing in sprites, fairies, and trolls. She is 100% convinced that there are communities of tiny woodland creatures living in the forests, fields, and hills outside of our busy towns. She spent hours upon hours playing in the woods as a child creating stories about who lived in each tree knot, fallen branch, and hole in the hillside.

She has now written down the stories from her childhood in a series of middle-grade books about loving nature and finding adventure in your own backyard.

Rachel spends her days adulting as a marketing communication specialist, writing web copy, and marketing materials. She spent many years teaching small wellness business owners how to market their businesses and has had numerous guest blog posts published on health and wellness websites.

Botany

Rachel was lucky enough to grow up in a household where healthy eating was a top priority. The family garden was a primary source of food, and she learned more about planting, nurturing, composting, and harvesting in her first ten years than many people learn in an entire lifetime.

Rachel has self-published two books – a picture book, I’m Going to be a Pilot, which she also illustrated, and a self-help book about setting priorities and boundaries to simplify your life titled, Life Balance: Discover the best and get rid of the rest. Both are available on Amazon. She lives in Sun Prairie, WI with her husband, two daughters, and dogs.

In every walk with nature, one receives far more than he seeks.
